Colorado Governor Hickenlooper would be thrilled if all those young entrepreneurs were coming here for the beer culture, and many of them very well may be. But he’s obviously reluctant to consider that they could very well affect the outcome of the upcoming elections, including his own.
Hickenlooper also talked up the state’s booming economy during a luncheon Thursday for the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry.
Hickenlooper said Colorado is very attractive to young entrepreneurs. But he joked that the influx of young people has surprising consequences.
Hickenlooper said the 2012 marijuana legalization vote was “a consequence of having all these young people.” The crowd of several hundred laughed.
