New-Fashioned Fruit and Cannabis Crumble

As a fibromyalgia patient I rely on cannabis-infused edibles to deal with my chronic pain and fatigue. I’m always looking for new and yummy ways to consume my medicine. I’ve recently gotten into making edibles in small batches so they’re always fresh. Besides, who doesn’t feel better with a warm cookie, muffin or cobbler straight from the oven?

This is one of my favorite go-to recipes when I need something warm, fruity and medicated. I’ve shared it with friends and always get rave reviews.

Makes 2

1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen fruit
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
4 teaspoons all-purpose flour, divided
1 1/2 teaspoons orange juice
1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
3 tablespoons chopped almonds
4 teaspoons brown sugar
Pinch of cinnamon
2 tablespoon cannabis-infused butter, melted

Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine fruit with sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons flour and orange juice. Divide between two 6-ounce ovenproof ramekins. Combine oats, almonds, brown sugar, the remaining 2 1/2 teaspoons flour and cinnamon. Drizzle with oil and stir to combine. Sprinkle over the fruit mixture. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden, 20 to 25 minutes.

I’ve tweaked this recipe depending on my needs and what I have on hand. When I didn’t have any oats, I substituted granola tossed with canna-butter for the topping. When I needed to bump up the potency, I sprinkled a little bubble hash into the topping. I’ve also used infused coconut oil in place of butter. It’s a very flexible recipe that’s oh so good.
