I couldn’t be more proud of this young man, and I’m so happy to count him and his family among my cherished friends and Allies of Cannabis Patients Alliance.

I didn’t know Coltyn Turner before he moved to Colorado, but I’ve seen the photos, I’ve watched the videos, and I’ve spent time talking with him and his family. At the beginning of 2014, Crohn’s Diseased had ravaged his colon and destroyed his health to the point that he was so weak he was in a wheelchair most of the time. The pharmaceuticals they tried produced little, if any, beneficial results, but with side-effects that left him unable to think or function. Finally, after months of research (i.e. the “google degree”), Coltyn’s parents, Wendy and Tommy, decided the best and last possible option was to move their family to Colorado with the hope that cannabis might do what all the other medications couldn’t: heal Coltyn.

Coltyn is really changing the conversation through is willingness to be open and honest about his condition and treatment. Call it anecdotal, say it’s just a single case, but when you look at the before and after images of his colon, there’s no denying the healing he has received from this amazing plant.
