Hug a patient!
Hug a legislator!
Hug a supporter!
Cannabis Patients Alliance is inviting medical marijuana patients and supporters to meet their 2017 Colorado State Legislators and staff at Cannabis Patients Alliance Day at the Capitol!
This is an opportunity to put a face to what it means to be a medical marijuana patient in Colorado. Tell your story. Share your experiences. Be respectful.
Noon – 3:00 Food! Lunch for legislators, staff, patients and supporters. Legislators, staff and VIPs will be stopping by the Old Supreme Court Chambers to meet and chat with patients.
Noon – 2:30 Help us build a Unity Chain of hearts to commemorate all those who cannot join us for this celebration.

Let your Senator and Representative know you’ll be there and invite them to come down for lunch and a chat. If you don’t know who your elected representatives are, there’s a link to a tool to help you on our web site at https://cannabispatientsalliance.org/find-your-co-legislator/. We’ll have people available to help you find the offices of your Senators and Representatives.
Families and kids are welcome. Feel free to stay all day or just drop by for a visit.
Visit the Capitol Bookstore. We highly recommend Sen. Morgan Carroll’s book “Take Back Your Government: A Citizen’s Guide to Grassroots Change.”
Free tours of the Capitol are available on the hour (approximately 45 minutes) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The dome is open this year.

It’s okay if you can’t stay the whole time. Stop by when it’s convenient and show your support.
Please be aware: This is NOT a protest or rally. This is NOT a hearing or time for public comment. This is an opportunity for medical marijuana patients and supporters to talk face to face with elected officials about issues they face each and every day.
Disrespectful speech or behavior will not be tolerated. Business casual is the attire for the day.
Parking around the Capitol is a challenge. If you can carpool or take public transportation, please do.
Visitors enter on the North or South side of the Capitol. Disabled visitors should enter on the South side. Be prepared to go through security. Greeters will be available to direct you inside the building.
